其实,我们在教学中可以化繁为简,抓住核心原则,做到理解到位、忠实贯彻就能收到效果。核心原则可以用Rod Ellis的“在真实操作条件下教授语法”[9]来概括。这样就能保证将语法的形、意、功能结合在一起,许多不能言传的东西能被学习者感知到,即形成所谓的“语感”。具体的操作性建议有:(1)尽量将语法规则放在原来的语言环境中辨认、分析、模仿;(2)如果要创设情景,必须兼顾到语言的使用,而不是停留在场景之上;(3)将语法学习与语言其他技能的练习结合起来;(4)将语法学习揉入到交际型任务中;(5)抓语法根规则,而不是具体的、琐碎的用法;(6)尽可能将语法规则与语言、认知、思维、文化等联系起来。
总之,语法是句子和语篇构建的重要纽带,是为交际目的服务的,同时是反映使用者的认知、思维和文化习惯的。因此,语法教学要照顾到这些因素才能培养学生的使用能力。任何肤浅的或短视的语法教学认识均不利于学生的英语能力发展。

Key Contents being Neglected in English Grammar Teaching

Abstract: Grammar is seen as the core component in text production, and is also considered as an integral part of language learning. In present grammar teaching, there still exists a kind of phenomenon that imparting knowledge is paid more attention on rather than developing students' abilities. Therefore, teachers shouldn't overlook the relationships between grammar and certain aspects, such as rhetorical organization, communicative intention, communication habits and cognitive custom, which have a direct bearing on the cultivation of students' grammar application abilities. One effective method can be adopted that grammar could be learned under actual operating environment, endowing form with specific purpose and meaningfulness along with combining these three organically.
